Later achieved rank of Sergeant-Major. Son of James & Janet Gillespie TOLLERTON. A native of Hurlford, Scotland. Joined 1st Bn., R.S.F. in October 1905. Served in S. Africa, Hong Kong, N. China and in India from 1909-1913. Passed into Reserve then called up and passed into the Cameron Highlanders.
KIA at Leipzig Salient, Authuille, France. Son of James and Elizabeth TURNBULL of Glasgow.
Later achieved rank of Captain.
